The DV2i introduces Ed Meitner’s latest analog technology including new discrete DAC modules, clocking mechanism, and beefed up analog output stage resulting in state of the art sonic performance that cements the DV2i at the top of the DAC-pack once again. Also included is the new Meitner X-power system, our proprietary switch-mode power supply, that provides each internal circuit with isolated, rock-solid steady power delivery. The DV2i also has the latest integrated streaming solution from EMM Labs which supports Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, Qobuz, Deezer, Vtuner, UPnP, and DLNA. This streaming solution now supports up to 2xDSD, DXD and MQA playback. The digital systems have also been redesigned to offer improved galvanic isolation and the FPGA architecture has been revised to our latest standard. The front fascia has been updated to include an OLED display and integrated touch buttons for a cleaner, more sophisticated look. Taken together, the DV2i is a complete redesign of the legendary EMM Labs digital converter.

The DAC2x V2 upgrade consists of a new digital input architecture and new FPGA firmware to allow for DSD128 and DXD playback via USB, DSD64 on all other inputs, as well as sonic improvements to the modulator and filter operation. This upgrade package was introduced by Mariusz Pawlicki, our R&D Manager as a “clean slate” and an introduction to the new design philosophy of EMM Labs. The DAC2x V2 also allowed for NS1 Network Steamer compatibility via the EMM Optilink input.
