We are pleased to share that the EMM Labs PREi Reference Preamplifier has received Stereophile's highest recommendation in a recent review by Jason Victor Serinus.

In his evaluation, Serinus praised the PREi for its transparency, musical realism, and ability to reveal the full potential of the components around it. His conclusion was unequivocal:

"The EMM PREi is among the finest preamps I've reviewed."

The PREi was developed around a simple objective: preserve the integrity of the musical signal while introducing as little of itself as possible. Designed by Ed Meitner and built around a fully discrete dual-balanced architecture, the PREi incorporates a precision analog volume control, contactless switching, a Class A analog output stage, and Meitner's proprietary power supply technology.

Throughout the review, the PREi was recognized for its ability to communicate musical nuance, spatial information, and dynamic expression without drawing attention to itself. Rather than imposing a sonic signature, the PREi allows recordings to emerge with exceptional clarity and naturalness.

Stereophile's measurements further reinforced the PREi's design goals, noting exceptionally low noise and distortion, outstanding channel separation, and exemplary overall performance.

Serinus concluded:

"If you're searching for a one-piece stereo line preamplifier in the sub-$30,000 range, the EMM Labs PREi should be on your short list."

The review ultimately awarded the PREi Stereophile's coveted "Most Highly Recommended" designation, placing it among the most accomplished preamplifiers available today.

We would like to thank Jason Victor Serinus and the editorial team at Stereophile for their thoughtful evaluation of the PREi.
